"New technology levels the playing field..."  - JD Hixson in Los Angeles Times

Picture
JD Hixson is deeply passionate about the potential for CRM technology to empower NGOs and non-profits on their quest for environmental sustainability and a better quality of life for all those alive on this planet.

Originally, he earned Master and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from The Juilliard School.  After a period of time performing on many acclaimed stages around the world, the musical Dr. Hixson found himself not only slightly weary of the circus life but suddenly and quite interestingly at the intersection of culture and technology in startups such as CultureFinder.com and Patron Technology, Inc. and he soon discovered the center of influence to be more creatively gratifying than the center of attention. (not to mention a t-shirt and his feet propped on a desk infinitely preferable to interminable champagne receptions with their seemingly requisite and cloying fog of Chanel No. 5).

Based in Japan now for 15 years, he has also worked for the UK's PurpleSeven, liaising with government arts councils of New Zealand and Australia for nation-wide arts marketing data collection and analysis initiatives.  In Tokyo, he has been called upon for consultation projects with leading corporate, scientific and military minds. He is currently a SFDC Certified Associate with a Superbadge as Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist.  He is on his way towards becoming a certified administrator and nonprofit cloud consultant.

In his free time, he enjoys engaging in the speculations of writers such as Kim Stanley Robinson, Cory Doctorow, Eliot Peper, et al.
